Dedication Event In Loving Memory of

Dianne Humphrey and Jaxon

 

​Dianne always imagined a bulletin board in Centennial Park as a place where dog walkers and community members could come together: to connect with one another for a walk in the park, and to post community messages, lost-and-found items, and a park map.

​

Thanks to the generous support of so many (through our very successful GoFundMe campaign), her vision has now become a reality. We warmly invite you to a potluck commemoration on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 10:00 am (PDT) to dedicate the new Centennial Park kiosk and bulletin board in honour of Dianne and her faithful companion, Jax. All people and dogs are welcome!

October 11 holds special meaning for our family, as it was Dianne’s birthday. We’ll provide tea, coffee, and light snacks ~ just as Dianne always encouraged as a regular get together in the park. Together, we’ll celebrate in the community spirit she loved so much.

Centennial Park, Central Saanich, BC

Please click on the park map below to see where we'll be meeting (which is at the new kiosk). Arrows on the map indicate the Trail Head Access Point (meeting point) and Shelter #2 (tea/coffee afterwards). Ample parking is available, and all locations are fully accessible.

• Don't forget to dress for the weather; we'll be on hand rain or shine!

• Please bring a small mug for coffee and/or tea to help us minimize waste (we'll have more on hand should it slip your mind).
